CSA is the abbreviation of Canadian Standards Association. Founded in 1919, it is the first non-profit organization in Canada to set industrial standards. Products such as electronics, appliances, sanitary ware and gas sold in North American market need to obtain safety certification. At present, CSA is the largest security certification body in Canada and one of the most famous security certification bodies in the world. It can provide safety certification for all types of products in machinery, building materials, electrical appliances, computer equipment, office equipment, environmental protection, medical fire safety, sports and entertainment. CSA has provided certification services for thousands of manufacturers all over the world, and hundreds of millions of products with CSA logo are sold in North America every year.
CAS certification application process:
1. Fill in the application form and submit the specifications and technical parameters of relevant products (including all electrical components and plastic materials);
2. Our company determines the certification fee according to the data;
3. After confirmation by the applicant company, a formal application form and notice will be sent to the applicant. The Notice includes the following requirements:
a. After the formal application form is signed, the telegraphic transfer certification fee (which can be paid in RMB) will be sent to the office. b. Send the test sample to the designated place according to the notice;
4. Collect and test samples in laboratory;
5. After the test, a preliminary report (findings letter) will be issued, the contents of which are as follows:
a. How to improve the product structure to meet the standard (when the test fails to meet the standard); b. Other information to be used to complete the certification report (in case of incomplete information); c. Confirmation record; d. The shipping mark required by CSA certification and the method of obtaining the shipping mark; e. Factory tests required by products;
6. Evaluate the possible problems mentioned above;
7. CSA prepares production reference book and certification report;
8. Initial factory evaluation (IFE);
9. CSA issues certification of compliance, and the applicant pastes CSA certification mark on the product;
10. Sign a service agreement for product tracking inspection, and the applicant company needs to pay annual fee to maintain the agreement.
