Saudi standards, metrology and quality organization (SASO) began to enforce the new regulations of IECEE certification since February 15. The new regulation requires that in addition to the COC required for customs clearance for products under control, traders also need to apply for and obtain IECEE Certificate in advance, so that the goods can be smoothly cleared in Saudi customs.
SASO announced the following products under the control of IECEE certification:
1. Mobile phone
2. Mobile phone charger
3. Mobile phone accessories, earphone, smart watch, etc
4. Mobile phone battery
5. Mobile power supply
6. Water pump
7. Dishwasher
8. Laptops, tablets, mobile computers
9. TV and monitor
10. Car charging and wireless charging
Saudi IECEE certification process:
1. Fill in the application form;
2. Provide CB Certificate (valid within 3 years, including Saudi Arabia deviation: 220V, 60Hz, British standard plug) and CB test report;
3. Provide the conformity statement or endorsement made by the manufacturer for the products;
4. Fill in the declaration of commitment and apply for IECEE
Information required for certification:
CB test report (valid within 3 years, including Saudi deviation: 220V, 60Hz, British standard plug) and its CB certificate, national difference test report, product photo, product size, manufacturer's statement, manufacturer's production license, Saudi importer's business license
Validity of IECEE certification: one year
