ERP (energy related products energy efficiency directive) is one of the four major directives of European CE certification. The other three directives are LVD (safety regulation directive), EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive) and RoHS (toxic and Harmful Substances Directive). CE is a mandatory directive to import products to EU countries, while ERP has been enforced since September 1, 2013.
