In order to ensure the quality and safety of imported goods purchased by Kenyan consumers, and to protect Kenyan local producers from unfair competition, Kenyan government department Kenyan Bureau of standards (kebs) implements pre export conformity certification (PVOC) for Kenyan imported goods.
Introduction of PVOC certification in Kenya
1. According to the Kenyan government decree, your company's importer must obtain the certificate of conformity (COC) before going through the customs clearance procedures with the Kenyan customs. After the inspection, the original COC certificate will be sent to the exporter by express mail. If you need to send it directly to the importer or other person, please specify it in the remarks column of this application form.
2. Please fill in this application form and its attached pages truthfully, correctly and completely, including relevant HS code, ICS code and other information. It is the applicant's basic responsibility to fill in the commodity description and HS code correctly. If the product description and / or HS code are not filled in correctly, the on-site inspection / testing will be inconsistent and the COC cannot be issued. The applicant will still bear the relevant expenses and leave a bad credit record. Once the goods are shipped to Kenya, the management department of Kenya will also require rectification and impose a fine.
PVOC certification process:
First provide samples for testing, and then issue test report after testing, and then apply for inspection with test report, packing list, commercial invoice, IDF and COC application form. If the inspection is passed, COC certificate will be issued.

Inspection Notes:
1. The shipping mark must have, and the main information of the shipping mark is: product name, model (write if there is one, not if there is one), net weight, gross weight, manufacturer, packing quantity, made in China
2. The voltage in Kenya is 230V, and the high-voltage live products are 230V or including 230V. Those with plugs must be British standard pins or converters with British pins
Application fee: please provide the product name, value, inspection place and supervision time (full container). Normally, the more the product name, the longer the supervision time, the higher the FOB value and the higher the fee. All information is subject to the invoice and IDF information.
