Australian Institute for testing and certification of electrical products. Australia and New Zealand are introducing the RCM logo to realize the unified identification of electrical products. The logo is a trademark owned by regulators in Australia and New Zealand, which means that the products meet both safety regulations and EMC requirements, and is not mandatory.
RCM accreditation country:
Applicable countries: Australia, Nauru, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Micronesia (Federated States of), Tuvalu, New Zealand, Tonga, Marshall Islands, vanu, Papua New Guinea and Samoa.

1. Safety:
Product safety certification includes two parts: electrical products are divided into regulated products and non regulated products.
A. Regulated electrical products are classified according to as / nzs4417.2, including electric heating equipment, refrigeration equipment, electric tools, parts, etc. Three of them, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, are the most active in the certification process. Controlled electrical appliances are required to obtain the certificate of approval issued by the monitoring department, and must be marked with the certificate number.
B. Non regulated electrical appliances can be sold directly without certification, but the manufacturer must ensure that the electrical safety of the products meets the Australian standard as / nzs3820:1998 (essential safety requirements for low voltage electrical equipment); The monitoring department will issue the certificate of sustainability to the products that meet the requirements of the standard. The certificate number can be marked on the electrical products that have obtained the certificate.
2 EMC (electromagnetic compatibility)
The EMC compliance plan of Australia is formulated in accordance with the radio communications Act 1992. It covers a wide range of products, including electric motor driven and heating electrical products, electric tools and similar products, electric lamps and similar equipment, television receivers and audio equipment, information technology products, industrial science and medical instruments and equipment Ignition engine and arc welding equipment, etc. According to the risk degree of electromagnetic interference, the products are divided into three categories. The second and third categories of products must be marked with c-tick. However, no matter which category the product belongs to, it must comply with the relevant EMC standards.
Australian RCM certification process
1. The third party laboratory evaluates the products and determines the test standards to be implemented;
2. In case of non conformity, the laboratory will rectify the products to meet the requirements of Australian standards;
3. Pass the test and issue the test report;
4. Submit test report to Australian certification authority for document review;
5. Australia passed the audit and issued RCM certificate;
6. The client can register the Australian website by himself or by the laboratory;
