Kucas certification is a kind of certification in Kuwait. Kuwait informed the TBT Committee on December 17, 2006 of its intention to implement the new kucas to replace the current ICCP. In view of the acceptance of the valuable comments of the members of the TBT Committee on the kucas guidelines, Kuwait hereby informs the TBT Committee of the extension of the time limit for the submission of comments and the postponement of the implementation of kucas in accordance with the dates indicated in items 9 and 10 of this circular, so as to have sufficient time to study the various comments and will consider revising the guidelines accordingly as far as possible.

There are three ways to apply for kucas certification in Kuwait
How to apply for kucas certification in Kuwait:
(1) Batch customs clearance inspection fee (TIR)
If FOB amount is less than or equal to USD 200000: cost = 0.45% × FOB amount (minimum: CHY 1750),
If the FOB amount is between USD 200000 and USD 1 million: cost = USD 900 + (fob-200000 USD) 0.3%,
If the FOB amount exceeds USD 1 million, the cost can be negotiated
(2) Register before customs clearance (TER)
Company registration: 150usd
Model registration: 30USD / model (within 15 models)
The inspection fee is the same as that of batch customs clearance
(3) SFL --- valid for one year, < estimated to be about one month >
High quality customers to conduct factory inspection (benefits: first mandatory inspection, the latter can be exempted)
Kucas certification process in Kuwait:
1. Consult certification and related information.
2. Issue quotation or sign entrustment agreement;
3. Prepare samples (determine the number of samples according to specific product conditions) and data (such as instructions, electrical schematic diagram, key parts list, etc.)
4. Prepare the ter application form and other information (if you need to apply, you can apply for TIR certificate directly if you don't need to apply)
5. Apply for ter certificate.
6. Prepare TIR application materials (such as ter certificate or test report, TIR application, packing list, invoice, etc.) for inspection before export;
7. Complete the inspection and obtain TIR certificate for customs clearance.
Note: TIR certificate must be applied before each shipment
Requirements before applying for kucas certification inspection:
Test report requirements: the test report must be issued by an ISO 17025 qualified organization, the power frequency is 50 Hz, and the voltage is 230 v. Electrical and electronic products plug is British standard plug. Different products have different test standards, such as toys usually require en standard test reports, electronic and electrical require IEC test reports, etc., CE-LVD report date can not exceed 2 years, UL, GS, ETL, CB report can not exceed 3 years.
Product photo requirements: the product photo must be able to see the shipping mark, which is also required. The product shipping mark must contain such information as product name, model specification, voltage, frequency, make in China, exporter's name or manufacturer's name or importer's name or their trademark. If it is a non electrified product, the shipping mark must contain the following information: product name, model specification, origin (made in China), exporter's name or manufacturer's name or importer's name or their trademark.
Requirements for packing box photos: there are also specific requirements for packing photos. The shipping mark should also be visible in the packing photos. The shipping mark of the package must contain the following information: product name, model specification, voltage, frequency, make in China, exporter's name or manufacturer's name or importer's name or their trademark, net weight, gross weight, handle with care icon or rain proof icon. If it is a non electrified product package, the shipping mark must include: product name, model specification, origin (made in China), exporter's name or manufacturer's name or importer's name or their trademark, net weight, gross weight, handle with care icon or rain proof icon.
Instruction requirements: instructions and warnings must be bilingual in Arabic and English.
