Bacteriostatic / antibacterial test
The test used to determine the inhibitory effect of antibacterial drugs on bacterial growth in vitro is called bacteriostatic test. Through the Bacteriostatic Experiment, the minimum inhibitory concentration of a drug can be determined to evaluate the bacteriostatic performance of the drug, which is the most basic pharmacodynamic data of antibiotics. The main methods include diffusion method for qualitative determination (such as antibacterial plaque test) and dilution method for quantitative determination (such as minimum inhibitory concentration test).
