FTC energy efficiency label

In circular 197, FTC of the United States described in detail the legal basis for adopting appliance labeling rules for ceiling fan products, and stated the energy-saving requirements for a variety of appliances in the energy policy and Conservation Act (EPCA) and the Energy Policy Act (EPACT).
As early as 1975, the United States formulated the energy policy and Conservation Act. The act requires FTC to stipulate the labeling rules for a variety of energy consuming products (household appliances, lighting equipment and sanitary products), and disclose the energy consumption estimation information of these products, so that consumers can compare the energy consumption or energy efficiency of competitive product types. In 1979, FTC published the labeling rules for eight types of appliances (refrigerators, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, water heaters, washing machines, indoor air conditioners and furnaces), and then expanded the coverage of the rules to include central air conditioners, heat pumps, fluorescent lamp ballasts, lighting equipment, bathroom products and swimming pool heaters, And other types of water heaters are also included. In 2005, the United States published the energy policy act, item 137 of which is an amendment to the energy policy and Conservation Act, requiring the addition of labeling requirements for ceiling fan products. The Notice No. 197 issued by the United States is the FTC's specific statement on the proposal of ceiling fan product labeling rules.

The original intention of the launch is "give them the facts", which is to make lighting products meet the requirements of more specific data and higher reliability.
1) FTC certification performance parameters: initial lumen LM, initial luminous efficiency LM / W, input power W, relevant color temperature CCT, color rendering index CRI.
2) FTC certification indicators are "quality assurance" and "lumen maintenance rate" based on lm-80 and tm-21 tests respectively.
3) The product range of LED lamps applicable to FTC certification is: complete lamps powered by AC mains or DC, low-voltage 12V AC or DC lamps, LED lamps with separable power supply, linear or modular products.
4) The product range of LED lamps not applicable to FTC certification is: LED lamps powered by solar energy or battery, LED lamp strips and LED panels of unlimited length and shape.
